Education minister 'open to hearing concerns' around construction apprenticeships

Some teenagers say they've been refused by around 40 businesses

The education minister insists she's open to listening to concerns from the construction industry.

It's as there are continued calls for better support for employers offering apprenticeships.

Some teenagers have told Manx Radio they've been refused by up to 40 different businesses amid a shortage of options.

But Daphne Caine MHK says the department has seen an increase in the number of employers signing up since changes to the scheme were made last year:
