Over one-hundred pupils skip class to protest
Education Minister Graham Cregeen has praised Manx students for abandoning the classroom to protest against climate change.
Strikes have taken place around the world today, including in South Korea, Australia, India and France.
Some people have voiced their concern about children skipping classes, with a number of ministers discouraging students from playing truant.
However, Mr Cregeen says schools on the Isle of Man have been actively involved in ensuring students miss lessons to protest:
