Graham Cregeen MHK says teaching unions went to media before him
The Education Minister has criticised teaching unions for going first to Manx Radio and the rest of the media to publicise a ballot of their members over possible strike action.
A vote will be taken as to whether such action will happen in February.
It would back anger over what is seen as a slipping back of Manx teaching pay levels.
The Minister, Graham Cregeen, says his Department wasn't the first to know strike action was being considered:
