Rainbow Alliance campaigner hits out at law delay
A leading gay rights campaigner says he feels efforts to derail the Island’s same-sex marriage laws are the result of hate directed towards the LGBT community.
This week, it emerged Methodist lay preacher Peter Murcott had delayed the legislation - which will be considered by the UK’s Privy Council this month.
Lee Vorster of the Rainbow Association says he can’t understand why somebody would be so keen to deprive him of the right to marry.
And he says he feels it’s born of hatred:
