Car leaves road after accident at Everlasting Bend
An elderly woman had a lucky escape yesterday (Thurs) after an accident just outside Laxey.
Her car left the road on the everlasting bend and rolled over before coming to rest by a hedge
Fire crews had to stabilise the vehicle before rescuing the driver who they say remained in good spirits despite her predicament.
They had to use a ladder as an improvised bridge to get her to safety.
Assistant Divisional Officer Geoff Quayle says her situation could easily have been much worse.
