
Changes to the Island's election legislation have not been put on the back burner.
That's according to Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson.
In the wake of the Douglas East by-election scandal in 2010 efforts were made to introduce new laws on campaign funding before last year's general election.
That didn't happen in the end, but Mr Watterson says the issue is still very much on the government's radar:
