David Ashford says a review of the Manx voting system is needed
A debate is needed about the electoral registration system - that's the view of Douglas Councillor David Ashford.
He was speaking after contesting the Douglas North by-election where he failed by 50 votes to become the new MHK for the constituency.
More than 12,000 people were taken off the voters' list Island-wide and around 800 in Douglas North alone.
And Mr Ashford says this is something that needs to be examined:
