MUA says problems near airport to blame
The Manx Utilities Authority says it’s now restored electricity supplies to areas of Castletown using temporary equipment.
The MUA says a fault at the airport last night (Monday) meant supplies were knocked out in Brookfield, Derbyhaven, Langness and King Williams College.
Workers have now restored supplies using generators while the authority tackles the malfunction.
Tonight, the organisation says it'll need to turn off the generators as it returns homes to mains supplies and warns some homes may find themselves without electricity temporarily.
