A Manx student who won a scholarship to the University of Idaho in America is returning there as a teacher.
Katie Taylor was awarded the Ella Oleson scholarship in 2010, after completing a degree in Sports Science at the University of Central Lancashire.
The scholarship to Idaho is awarded annually to a female Manx graduate who's been supported by the Department of Education.
It's named after a former registrar at the university whose Manx-born mother emigrated to America in 1890.
Katie from Ramsey returns to the north-west US state as a graduate teaching assistant and will continue her studies while tutoring students.
She'll join current Ella Oleson scholar Melissa Bell from Onchan who left the Island for Idaho in August.
