Off-Island regeneration expert gives view
Regeneration works in Peel should be approached rationally, responsibly - and at times, ruthlessly.
That's the view of an urban development expert and enthusiast, who's been visiting the Island this week.
Erika Rushton chairs the Baltic Creative scheme in Liverpool, which has overseen several major regeneration projects in the city.
She's been visiting the Make Market initiative in Douglas, and this week gave a presentation on the value of creative industries to communities and the economy.
Around 100 residents gathered in Peel over the weekend to protest planned changes to the town's marketplace.
But Erika says change should be embraced where possible:
