The Mountain Road will close between Ramsey and the Creg Ny Baa from 10am today.
It's due to a pothole which has appeared near Keppel Gate as a result of last weeks inclement weather.
The Department of Infrastructure says the road will be reopened no later than midday.
In addition, the DoI is also dealing with a drainage issue on the Veranda which has led to standing water over the past couple of days.
Both the Creg Ny Baa and Victory Cafe Isle of Man are open as usual.
