A medical emergency on board this morning's Steam Packet fast craft crossing to Liverpool has triggered a series of delays which will affect sailings between the Isle of Man and Merseyside for the rest of the day.
The emergency on Manannan's first sailing (16 August) resulted in the late arrival of the vessel in Liverpool. That had a knock on effect on the return which was put back from 11.30am to 1.15pm.
That in turn has affected this afternoon's sailing from Douglas, which the Packet says will depart no earlier than 5.15pm.
The 8.30pm Liverpool departure is posted as running an hour late, scheduled to leave the Pier Head at 9.30pm.
Passengers should check www.steam-packet.com for check-in times.
