The head of the Island’s ambulance service has praised the emergency services’ response to the TT Bray Hill accident on Friday.
Chief Ambulance Officer Russell Thornhill was off-duty but rushed to the scene when he heard the news.
He says marshals, ambulance staff, police, doctors, nurses and even spectators rallied together to help the 11 people who were injured after being hit by pieces of motorbike belonging to Jonathan Howarth.
Mr Thornhill says major incidents are always tough to deal with – but his staff have been outstanding.
