Nearly 500 Manx businesses in Class 1 arrears
Almost a million pounds is owed to Treasury in Class 1 National Insurance arrears by Manx employers.
Figures published by the treasury minister show the total outstanding at the end of the 2022-23 financial year was £958,382.
It's almost 2.5 times higher than in March 2019, when the debt stood at £386,136.
The amount owed last year represents 0.4% of the total class 1 NI received by Treasury.
Five years ago, 105 employers were in arrears - that figure now stands at almost 500.
