Likely to be final year for boat-based research
It could be the end of an era for the ground-breaking basking shark research in Manx waters.
Founders of Manx Basking Shark Watch, Jackie and Graham Hall, say this season will almost certainly be the last for their current boat-based research and satellite tagging programme.
Graham says whilst they've amassed a lot of data and knowledge over the last decade, time is marching on, and other types of research may now be used:
