Increase to come by April 2019
Gate fees at the Island's Energy from Waste Plant and Wright's Pit North will increase by 5.73% next year.
Both domestic and commercial users of the facility will be affected by the change, which comes into force from 1 April 2019.
With responsibility for waste management, the hike will also have an impact on local authorities across the Island.
The increase is calculated from a series of indices, including Manx RPI, DETR Labour, and DETR materials.
It's levied annually by plant operators SUEZ on the Department of Infrastructure to cover operating costs.
It will result in charges of £91.93 per tonne of domestic waste, and £183.04 of commercial waste.
Dedicated loads of wood will still be offered a 'preferential' tipping price of £35, and tyres will remain £100 per tonne for disposal.
