MHK to query appointment of new ministers in Tynwald
Government needs to appoint a new minister if it wants to take its plans to grow the economy and create new jobs seriously.
That's from Douglas South MHK Claire Christian, who'll raise the issue of interim ministers at this month's sitting of Tynwald.
The Department for Enterprise currently shares a minister with the Department of Health of Social Care, with four different MHKs having held the Enterprise Minister role since October 2021.
Mrs Christian says a part-time minister doesn't work with government's aims:
Gas supplier provides reassurance amid ongoing global market volatility
Farmers in race against time after freight backlog in Heysham
Further changes to sailing schedule due to tidal restrictions
Census 'still one of the most valuable statistical tools' for government
'Immigration is needed' for economic growth on Island
