Isle of Man Post Office has had writing cleaned
The people responsible for defacing a post box in the Isle of Man Sea Terminal, dedicated to the Island's LGBTQ+ community, should be 'deeply ashamed of themselves'.
That's the message from Ramsey MHK, and Minister, Lawrie Hooper, who's described the act as 'entirely unacceptable'.
Black writing appeared on the rainbow-coloured box this weekend, which read 'Don't promote Evil!'.
The Department of Infrastructure says it has secured CCTV footage of it being vandalised which it will pass along to the police.
In a post on social media, Mr Hooper says: 'Trying to marginalise others is not ok and this awful behaviour should not be quietly ignored'.
The Isle of Man Post Office says it is 'saddened to see the box vandalised' and has confirmed to Manx Radio that the box has now been cleaned.
