Policy and reform minister says improvement is needed
Legislation designed to make the Island a fairer place for all will see further progress in 2018.
The Equality Act gained royal assent last year and is being rolled out in stages until 2020, starting this month.
It affords new rights in employment and access to services, irrespective of age, disability, gender, race, religion and sexual orientation.
Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas says the Island is way off the standard set by other parts of the British Isles:

Man treated for non-life threatening injuries following Ramsey incident
Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Police dealing with 'serious incident' in Ramsey
Drop-in session to support Isle of Man charities
