The Positive Action Group is set to discuss the Isle of Man's proposed Equality Bill when it begins its latest series of meetings tonight (Monday).
The bill is currently out for public consultation and is set to prohibit discrimination on the grounds of the likes of age, disability, gender, race, religion and sexual orientation, if passed.
The title of the meeting is 'Disability and Equality' and will feature two guest speakers; Champion for Deaf people Gareth Foulkes and Isle of Man advocate Paul Beckett, who has just completed a dissertation at Oxford University on human rights.
PAG committee member Muriel Garland says there's plenty of work still to do on these issues on the island:
The meeting takes place at the Manx Legion Hall on Market Hill in Douglas.
Doors open at 7pm for a 7.30pm start and all are welcome.
