Addison singers to link up with local choirs
Early, contemporary and traditional music will meet in two collaborative musical events later this month.
With the support of the Isle of Man Arts Council, London chamber choir 'the Addison Singers' will be visiting the Island for the concerts.
The Hammersmith-based group will perform with Manx choir Caarjyn Cooidjagh on July 14 in the Villa Marina Arcade, the day after singing alongside the Island's Tallis Consort at St Mary of the Isle Church in Douglas.
Tallis Consort member Christopher Weeks says the mix of eras isn't as unusual as it may seem:
And those concerts take place at 7.30pm, on July 13, at St Mary of the Isle in Douglas, and at 12.30pm, on July 14, at the Villa Marina Arcade.
