People with the disease or in remission are encouraged to try some low impact activities
|
There's an invitation for anyone living with cancer or those who are in remission, to take part in activities to mark World Cancer Day this week. Low impact activities are being put on at the NSC tomorrow (Thursday 8 February) encouraging people to stay active, and will include the new Yoga 4 Cancer classes which will start officially at the end of the month. Initially this will be a referral only class, meaning that for people to attend, they must be referred by a member of the Macmillan Team, their Manx Care clinical team or their own responsible consultant. Tomorrow's sessions will include a social opportunity in the café where participants will be able to chat and develop new friendships. Anyone interested can register by emailing h4l@gov.im or by phoning the NSC on 688588. |
