Laurence Skelly urged to take responsibility
A Tynwald debate on the Vision Nine scandal has got off to an explosive start.
Members are deliberating a series of recommendations, compiled by Tynwald's Economic Policy Review Committee, into the failed deal to secure an off-Island promoter for the TT festival.
Government's agreement with the firm fell through six months after it was approved by Tynwald. It was never signed.
Committee chairman Michael Coleman drew comparisons between the affair and the Costa Concordia cruise ship disaster, which left 32 people dead in 2012.
The ship's captain was jailed for his negligent role in the tragedy.
Mr Coleman's comments drew murmurs from the court - and accusations that he was pursuing a 'witch hunt' against the presiding minister, Laurence Skelly.
The debate continues.
