
As he prepares to change Callow’s Yard into a mainly residential development, the complex’s owner says too many of Castletown’s decision makers are out of touch.
Roy Tilleard plans to convert most of the centre’s commercial premises into residential accommodation.
He’s due to meet commissioners this evening (Monday) to outline his proposals.
Mr Tilleard – who has been unsuccessful in a number of attempts to bring Tesco to the ancient capital - says the reality is the town can no longer sustain itself as a shopping centre.
