Former MHK pleased Island doesn't have a party system
The failure of the political party system creates a greater opportunity for fundamental change, according to a former MHK.
Chris Robertshaw retired from politics in 2021, having been elected in Douglas East in 2010.
Following the recent UK election, Mr Robertshaw believes there's evidence fewer voters are now loyal to a specific party.
He's pleased a party system hasn't come into force in the Island's parliament:
