Douglas City Council says the material is spreading misinformation
A number of flyers delivered to addresses in Douglas targeting sitting councillors have been reported to the police.
Douglas City Council says the leaflets spread misinformation about members of the council, and includes their names and mobile phone numbers.
A spokesperson for the local authority added it's disappointing that someone would seek to mislead constituents ahead of next month's local authority election.
Anyone who receives such material is urged to contact Police Headquarters on 631212.
