Parents thought Coroner of Inquests would call for change
The family of a woman who died following surgery to remove an ovarian cyst at Noble's Hospital wants to see changes made.
Coroner of Inquests John Needham found no hospital failures contributed to the death of 32-year-old Aimee Woodward in 2017, recording a narrative verdict.
Her parents, Margaret and Trevor Woodward, attended the three-day hearing at Douglas Courthouse.
Mr Woodward said they had expected the Coroner to make recommendations to the Department of Health and Social Care:
The DHSC issued a statement saying it profoundly regrets the death of Miss Woodward, and that a detailed investigation had been undertaken by the hospital.
