MHK wants crisis response strategy created
The Isle of Man needs a better crisis response strategy so it can act more quickly in the face of future crises.
That's the view of a Douglas East MHK who's questioned why the Island had to follow the UK's 'delayed chaotic response' to the Ukrainian conflict.
Next month Joney Faragher will attempt to move a motion on the resettlement of displaced people – she wants the Council of Ministers to look at UK and Irish schemes.
Whilst Ms Faragher praised Tynwald's decision yesterday (14 March) to pledge support for Ukraine she said it opened up the need for wider discussion:
