An Island farmer says it will take four years before stocks are fully restored following the March snow.
More than 14,000 animals were lost in the heaviest recorded snowfall in the Island since 1963.
With record-breaking snow predicted for November in the UK, the secretary of the Manx flock masters, Ian Parsons, says a repeat of the high winds and fierce blizzards could prove disastrous.
