DEFA says a number of formal offers have been submitted
Formal bids are in to run the Island's meat plant - so it's decision time, says the Manx National Farmer's Union.
President, Brian Brumby, insists industry is keen for government to make the right choice for industry, and taxpayers, as soon as possible.
The plant is currently run by a cooperative of farmers under the brand; Isle of Man Meats - recently lambasted for financial inefficiency, and a lack of market focus.
Its last annual subvention from the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture cost £1.3 million.
