Passengers were told to 'brace'
It’s understood a number of passengers were left shaken but largely unhurt after fastcraft Manannan collided with the Victoria Pier in Douglas this evening (Wednesday).
The vessel was approaching the harbour when the collision occurred.
She was ultimately escorted into the harbour and arrived back nearly an hour late.
The captain had told passengers of problems with the stabilisers early on in the journey, according to some of the passengers.
Inspections are ongoing to assess the damage and whether she can sail in the morning.
The Manannan has only just returned for the summer season.
