Mechanical faults have hampered recent sailings
Passengers wishing to travel by ferry today (Tues 31) are advised to keep regular tabs on the Isle of Man Steam Packet website, for updates on sailings.
As things stand, the Ben-my-Chree's journey which was originally scheduled to leave Douglas at 8.45am is now estimated to depart at 10am - it's hoped that service will arrive at Heysham at 1.45pm.
Yesterday, the ship suffered a further technical fault, delaying the afternoon sailing to Heysham.
That came after spending the previous two days in Douglas harbour for repairs following what was described as an 'unprecedented' mechanical failure early on Saturday morning.
It was nearly three hours late departing yesterday, due to final repairs.
The Manannan schedule has also been disrupted, as she had to operate additional trips to and from Heysham, and also to allow for legislative hours of rest for crew.
