The Steam Packet Company says it’s seen an 11 per cent rise in the number of motorbikes coming to the Festival of Motorcycling this year.
Last year, ferries brought 3,324 bikes to the Island – this year’s total is 3,697.
Passenger numbers have also risen, with 29,460 visitors – the highest number in more than a decade.
Steam Packet chief executive Mark Woodward says it comes after a busier than usual TT, and shows the Festival of Motorcycling has established itself as a highlight of the Island’s tourism year.
