An attempt to hold the first practice last night foundered as heavy showers and mist forced organisers to admit defeat.
The roads were closed for just half an hour, at 5-30, then re-opened.
It had been predicted that better weather would arrive at the end of a dull day but it was too little too late.
So this event is facing the kind of practice headaches that faced TT Clerk of the Course, Gary Thompson earlier i9n the year.
The forecast is better for the second session due on Monday.
Fans are being reminded that, unlike the TT period, the mountain road is open to normal traffic..thats two way, not the one way system used at TT.
