First practice session this evening
Today marks the start of the 2017 Festival of Motorcycling.
Teams are making their final adjustments to their bikes ahead of the first practice session this evening.
Both competitors and spectators have come to the Island from all around the world - USA, Spain, New Zealand and Denmark to name a few - just to be part of what is becoming one of the most popular events on the racing calendar.
The festival includes action in both the Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix categories, culminating in the prestigious Senior MGP on September 1.
It's often seen as an event for the enthusiasts, with some relatively unknown riders competing alongside high-profile names including James Hillier and 15-time TT winner Michael Dunlop.
Roads around the Mountain Course close at 5pm, with riders hoping to get out 20 minutes later.
