Can you donate boxes for food parcels?
Volunteers for the Island’s Foodbank are thanking locals for their generosity.
They say around 6,000 items of food were donated during their three-day festive appeal at Tesco.
Volunteers committed a combined 100 hours over the period and nearly 30 people helped transport the items to storage points ready for collection.
Organisers are thanking all those who donated and gave up their time – they are still short of boxes to pack the food.
Anyone who can donate boxes is asked to drop them into the Sea Cadets headquarters in Tromode.
