Council stays tight-lipped
It’s still unclear what links a planned IT university on Merseyside has to the Isle of Man – except for its name.
Last month, Wirral Borough Council revealed it was in negotiations to lease one of its unused buildings in Birkenhead to the Isle of Mann University ICT Faculty.
But other than saying it had prepared a contract pending reassurances funding is in place, the local authority has remained tight-lipped.
Liam Murphy, the Liverpool Echo’s political editor, told Manx Radio he’s been unable to find out much about the plans:
