Proposals include introducing fees and limits on requests
The public has until the end of today to share views on potential changes to Freedom of Information requests.
Government says growing numbers of 'complex requests' are placing increasing demands on departments.
Last year, responding to FOIs cost around £181,000 and took the equivalent of 700 working days.
The consultation seeks views on possible fees and limits to manage future requests.
