Motorists urged to check condition of vehicles
Police in the north of the Island are reiterating the need to assess the condition of your car, before driving.
That's after a motorist was given three penalty points and a £120 fine for driving without due care, when all of their vehicle's windows were fully fogged up, leaving 'zero visibility'.
Officers say the fact the incident was in the hours of darkness was 'an aggravating factor'.
Drivers are asked to 'take an extra five minutes' to de-mist or de-ice windscreens, to avoid a collision, and to avoid points and fines on their licences.
