20-year-old followed by undercover police
A Douglas man has been fined £400 after being caught taking cocaine.
Jack Thornton Mallaby, of Urley Path, pleaded guilty to having 0.3g of the drug.
The court heard officers in plainclothes on foot patrol followed him into Shaw's Brow car park after he left a nearby nightclub in the early hours of 17 March.
They witnessed the 20-year-old snorting the drug, and when challenged, he threw it off the structure.
It was later recovered and valued at £30.
Ordering Mallaby to pay prosecution costs of £125, magistrates told him to "step out, sort it out and don't let us see you again."
