Fire crews have tackled a blaze at Pulrose power station.
Staff were evacuated and the road outside the facility was shut just after 2pm while emergency services dealt with the incident.
An update via the police's Facebook page, as it was ongoing, said there was no likelihood of power supplies being interrupted.
The latest update via the MEA's Twitter feed, at 2.50pm, said the fire had been extinguished and staff were back on site.
The road has also re-opened.
