Crews from Douglas fire station helped get an injured man off a boat in the harbour last night.
Due to the low tide the casualty could not easily be transferred to dry land.
Crews used a basket stretcher and basic line rescue techniques to lift the man from the moving vessel up to the pier steps, which were about seven feet above it.
He was then taken to Noble's hospital in an ambulance.
No update on his condition has been released.
It's understood the boat had recently arrived from Liverpool.
Fire crews left the scene at 7.50pm.
