DEFA issues warning following dry spell
The Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture has issued an urgent warning after a series of wildfires.
Members of the public are advised of a 'high risk' of blazes following recent incidents on scrublands, nature reserves and around the coast.
A ban on smoking, campfires, portable stoves and barbecues is being enforced around state-owned uplands, forests and glens.
Yellow warning signs are being put up around the Island.
