Moored vessel sinking by Red Pier
Fire services in Douglas were called to the aid of a fishing boat this morning (Thurs)
The Captain of the local boat contacted emergency services around 4am, to say the vessel, which was tied up alongside another boat on Red Pier, was taking on water.
A pump from Douglas Station attended and used a high volume ‘ejector’ pump to clear enough water out of the boat to allow a temporary repair to take place.
Crews were in attendance for around two hours working with the vessels' crews.
