Approval sought for £500,000 scheme
Manx firefighters could soon be set to receive all their training on-Island.
That's if a new £500,000 scheme gets Tynwald approval.
Home Affairs Minister Juan Watterson is to seek parliamentary approval later this month for the building of a Live Fire Training facility.
He believes the costs will be recouped by saving on firefighters completing their training in the UK.
Mr. Watterson explains why he thinks it could be beneficial:
