Training for packed nightclub atrocity
A fire in a packed nightclub was one of several modern-day disasters covered in a recent training exercise for Manx firefighters.
The Isle of Man Fire and Rescue Service has been testing out 'worst case scenarios' at their recently-opened live training facility on Richmond Hill.
Smoke, loud music, and disco lights were used in the simulation, which saw officers responding to reports of multiple casualties.
While it's hoped such training will never come in handy, fire officers are encouraging all business owners and revellers to have an escape plan if a real fire breaks out.
