Chief Fire Officer says comments were 'totally unacceptable'
The Island's fire service says its officers have been subjected to abuse after two firefighters tested positive for Coronavirus.
Contact tracing has been working to identify the origin of the two cases.
Both firefighters have been self-isolating, with their families, along with a colleague who was identified as a high risk contact.
The Department of Home Affairs insists the pair complied with all relevant legislation and isolated immediately after being swabbed.
Chief Fire Officer Kevin Groom says some firefighters have received personal comments, and abuse, as a result of the positive tests which he's described as totally unacceptable.
