Changes to come in gradually
Ministers say new laws governing equality will be phased in gradually, and won't come as a 'big bang'.
The landmark Equality Act, which protects against discrimination and aims to provide equal opportunities for all Islanders, was granted Royal Assent last week.
A Cabinet Office group has now been set up to manage the legislation, which must be fully implemented by 2020.
