Minister confident new initiative will be beneficial
The Treasury Minister says a series of public meetings being held across the Island ahead of the next budget will be beneficial.
The first meeting takes place this evening (Thurs 18th) and it's the first time such an exercise has been carried out ahead of the Budget.
Speaking on this morning's Mandate programme, (Thurs 18th) Mr Cannan said the meetings will be an opportunity for Treasury to hear directly from members of the public about any concerns they may have.
This evening's meeting takes place in Ramsey Town Hall between 7 and 9pm. Subsequent meetings will be at the same time in Castletown Town Hall on the Monday 22nd.
The Manx Legion Club in Douglas on 24th and Peel Town Hall on 25th.
