Douglas facility to open Monday
The new Chester Street vaccination hub in Douglas is set to open on Monday morning.
On its opening day 460 people are booked in to be vaccinated, for both first and second jabs, government says.
The facility has been created inside the former Shoprite site below Chester Street car park.
Ten cubicles have been installed - the same number as the Ronaldsway hub.
So far 12,865 people have received a vaccination on the Isle of Man, with 3,335 of those having had a second dose of the jab.
Meanwhile, a ‘pop up’ vaccination clinic will be held at Ramsey Cottage Hospital this Saturday (13 Feb).
There, jabs will be given to more than 200 elderly people living in the north of the Island who are unable to travel.
The day is fully booked, and those with appointments are asked to arrive no more than a few minutes before their slot to avoid unnecessary waiting or congestion at the hospital.
